Buy And Sell Mountain Bikes [PATCHED]

We've all been there. You need to unlock the value of your current bike so you can find a bike for your next adventure. There are plenty of ways to sell your used bike. Some require more or less work than others, and some provide more value for your bike and your time.

If you're lucky, there might be a used sporting goods shop near you that'll buy used bikes. Many modern bike shops don't bother buying and selling used bikes anymore. Otherwise, one of the quickest ways to turn your used bike into cash is to find a local pawnshop. It is the old-fashioned way to turn most items into quick cash. If you're lucky, you may have a shop nearby that specializes in buying, selling, and consigning used sporting equipment.

The advantage here is the convenience of selling locally and completing a transaction the same day you walk in. The major concern, however, is getting maximum value for your bike. Many shops may lack the expertise to understand what your bike is worth, or their business model makes them unable or unwilling to give you the amount you want, especially for high-end bikes.

When selling online, be wary of scammers and bogus offers. Make sure transactions are safe and secure. Many police stations now offer special areas for such transactions to occur. This is also why I prefer Facebook Marketplace to Craigslist because you can scope the profiles of prospective buyers to see if they're legit.

Your ad also has to fight for attention, as it continuously gets bumped down by newer ads. If someone isn't searching for exactly what you're selling, they may never see it. If you're up for the work and personal interaction it takes, then it may be the way to go.

The Internet is rife with bike nerds and online forums are where they tend to gather. There are forums dedicated to every cycling discipline imaginable, from specific ideologies to brands to interests. Many cycling sites have specific buy and sell forums, which are slightly more educated versions of your local online marketplace. Still, visibility can be hit-or-miss depending on the site or bike, and you may run into low-ballers, potential scammers, or lack of views.

Remember, if your bike doesn't sell locally, you'll have to pack and ship your bike. This costs money (sometimes a lot!), and if you don't have the materials or experience, it can be difficult. Selling your used bike on a forum can be a bit of extra work, but it can help you find a specific type of buyer that you might not be able to find locally.

You'll need to develop a reputation through positive feedback. Often, buyers prefer trusted sellers with good ratings. This isn't to say that you can't sell with poor or few ratings, but if you don't sell often or you're selling for the first time, there's a chance that you could be missing out on some buyers willing to spend a little more for confidence and security.

We have a proven, efficient system to buy bikes from cyclists like you. Whether you want the cash or you're ready to trade-in for your next bike, our goal at The Pro's Closet is to provide you with exceptional customer service and a trouble-free way to sell your bike.

Fill out the submission form to tell us about the bike you have to sell. You will need to know the make, model, and year of your bike. This information must be accurate for our team of experts to give an accurate quote for your bike's value. If you are unsure of any of these details, please contact our Ride Guides for assistance.

We will email you a prepaid shipping label for your bike. Ensure that your bike is safely packed so it does not become damaged in transit. Damaged bikes will be returned or have their offers revised. If you're worried about properly packing your bike for shipment, our Shipping Manager, Steve has a few helpful tips:

So, how do you avoid these cons of selling online? Well, with The Pro's Closet, you deal directly with us. You have the option for either cash or store credit, and receiving payment is fast and easy via PayPal. Worried abou those high shipping rates? We have you covered, shipping is free for all bikes we purchase! Best of all, our team is available every day of the week to answer any questions you may have!

DO give your bike a tune-up. Making sure your bike is ready to ride will give buyers the confidence that they won't have to do any serious maintenance once they purchase from you. Apply these simple principals the next time you want to sell your bike and once the dust settles, you will notice your wallet will be a little fatter.

Ignited with a passion for bikes and an entrepreneurial spirit, Cycle Limited was founded by Danny Israelian in Boca Raton, Florida. Cycle Limited is a pre-owned bike retailer specializing in high-end bikes.

Featured ads are highlighted and appear at the top of the category search results. They stand out from other listings. On average people who upgrade their ads to featured sell their items 50% faster than a normal listing.

Buy a bike or sell a bike. Trade-ins welcome. Our used bicycle purchase program allows you to sell you bike fast. Need a little extra cash, don't want the hassle of selling or just want to clear out the garage? Sell us your old bike.

Most of our used inventory - electric bicycles, gas bikes, pedal bikes, adult trikes - are listed in our website catalog, but we get new bikes every day. So, check back often. We try to remove bikes sold as soon as possible, but call before you drive to the shop, just to make sure. We carry a large selection of new and used merchandise too, including wheels.

Our used bikes come with a limited 30-day warranty. If something breaks, we will fix it. (See our Terms & Conditions.) We want you to get the right bike for you, so we do take time and effort to make sure you are satisfied before and after your purchase. You can rent our used bikes too.

The good news: Our used bikes come with a limited 30-day warranty. If the bike fails to meet your expectations, bring it back in 30-days and we will fix it (excluding parts). If you get a bike home and find it's not right for you, bring it back within 10-days (less 10% restocking) for store credit on another bike of your choice (of equal or greater value). (Limitations may apply, read your sales invoice for more details.)

Our new bikes come with the typical manufacturers warranty, but we also provide any bike-health adjustments needed when things go wrong, usually at no charge. You also get a free health check (mini tune-up) after one year.

If you want to avoid the hassle of selling your bike, or just want to trade it in for a new one, we can handle that. Many sellers bring in all the bikes stacked in the garage. Some may be in poor condition or neglected for a long time. In any case, we will give you a price for your bike. We do buy department store bikes, however, they usually have very little value. Remember, many department store bikes sell new for less than $100 for a reason. Any bike or trike, pedal or motorized, will be considered. Sorry, we do not do consignment. In all cases, it is at our sole discretion to make you an offer. We may decline your bike. What is Your Bike Worth?

To get a good estimate, you will need to bring us the bike for inspection. Use Bicycle Blue Book to get a price if you cannot get the bike to us. Look at Craig's List or e-Bay. Keep in mind though, just because a bike is listed for $1,000, does not mean it will sell for $1,000. A phone estimate from us is only a very rough guide. You Decide

If you have a used bike that you would like to donate to a good cause, there are usually community bicycle organizations that will gladly accept those bikes or bike parts. (see link below for a nationwide list of them)

Mike's Bikes was founded in 1964 as one of Marin County's very first Schwinn shops. It is rumored that our store in San Rafael was home to some of the first mountain bikes in the country. Cycling has changed dramatically as the decades have rolled by, but Mike's Bikes has never wavered from our total dedication to the sport.

Today, Mike's Bikes is a growing family of bike shops, all with a singular purpose - to get as many people on bikes as possible. We operate 14 wildly successful stores in Petaluma, San Rafael, Sausalito, San Francisco, Berkeley, Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Sacramento, Walnut Creek, San Jose, Pleasanton, Folsom, Roseville, & Stanford Research Park! Our professional staff of over 250 cycling enthusiasts will ensure that your experiences both in the store and on your bike are the best they can be.

Why shop with us? Because we know bikes and we care. We don't sell snowboards, we don't sell kayaks and we don't sell tents. We only sell bikes - you might even say bikes are our life. Why does that matter? Because this utter fanaticism for our product makes us the best at what we do - We live to create cyclists.

The demand is very high for all bikes and the Used bike inventory at our shop is limited. We are not a pawn shop, garage sale, or online ad; so our bike shop quality bikes are sold adjusted, cleaned, tuned, and ready to ride with a 90 day labor guarantee on any future repair needs.

If you want to earn the maximum value on a used bike you need to sell it on your own to the end user. We will not buy every bike presented to us, but we will make an offer on most that are eligible. If you have a very expensive high end custom bike worth thousands of dollars you will have to sell it on your own to get the best price. We are likely to offer you a price, but please keep in mind that we own a bike shop and are in the business of buying, fixing, and selling bikes; as such we need to cover our expenses so we can stay in business. The inspection evaluation of your USED bike is free and will only take one to two minutes of live face to face interaction; but then once done you will know what your bike is actually worth. 041b061a72
